Benefit: The witch causes one creature to shake and become palsied, receiving the shaken condition. This hex lasts for a number of rounds equal to 3 + the witch's intelligence modifier. A Fortitude save reduces this to just 1 round. On the next round, regardless of the initial creatures save, adjacent creatures must make a Fortitude save against the hex's DC or also be struck with the virus. A second successful save limits the effect to 1 round. These secondary victims receive a +2 bonus to their save. A creature may only be targeted as the primary victim of this hex once in a 24hr period - they thereafter receive a +4 bonus to saves against secondary infection.
