HISTORY

During the Age of Light and Reaffirmation, many magical weapons of great power were created by clerics of various sects in an attempt to return to the people a belief in the gods, which had all but disappeared during the Age of Darkness and Faithlessness. Among these holy relics was the warhammer Judicar, which was both forged and wielded by the powerful high inquisitor of Arbiter, Gweneth Ulem. Believed to be the first true Judge of the ages, Gweneth Ulem roamed the countryside preaching the doctrines of the Arbiter to all she encountered. Legends of her faith and the great hammer she wielded spread quickly, and the fear and respect of the gods began to return to the land once more.

After Gweneth Ulem's death, Judicar was safeguarded by the clerics of the church in a temple of the Arbiter located in The Great Mountain Range of Stonehelm near the city of Andrahel. There it was to remain until the time that its power should be needed again. Unfortunately, the temple in which it was kept was engulfed in an earthquake some 250 years after its being placed there. Despite numerous attempts to recover the relic, it supposedly remains buried beneath the overgrown ruins of the temple.
