The artifact is in a teardrop-shaped and made from electrum, including the chain. It has a polished teardrop jade stone set into it, with runes of enchantment and transmutation etched into its surface. The amulet has the ability to shrink or enlarge itself to fit the wearer.

POWERS

The Amulet of the Eternal Wayfarer grants a number of benefits related to travel and time. Its primary power permanently slows the age of wearer to half its normal rate. Once a creature has gained the benefits of this power, he cannot gain it again.

In addition to lengthening the life span of an individual, the Amulet of the Eternal Wayfarer grants the wearer a +5 bonus to all ranged weapon attacks and a +10 competence bonus to all Perception and Survival checks. The wearer can also double his land speed for a number of minutes per day equal to his level. This ability must be spent in 1-minute increments.

HISTORY

The Amulet of the Eternal Wayfarer was discovered in an ancient and powerfully enchanted vault with a number of other artifacts by the heroes of the Off-Worlder War; Odorian Lightbringer, Wu Yan Ravenhill, Aragast Anadriel, and Blackroot Brambleburr. Due to the nature of the amulet, it was given to the quickling hero Varasis Gilding III to assist him in his endeavors on behalf of the people and war-torn land. The amulet remained with Varasis until his death many decades later, and passed on to his children and grand children. It has since disappeared and has yet to resurface.
