HISTORY

Like its father blade, Glimmerwyn, The Righteous was rediscovered in an ancient and powerfully enchanted vault with a number of other artifacts by the heroes of the Off-Worlder War; Odorian Lightbringer, Wu Yan Ravenhill, Aragast Anadriel, and Blackroot Brambleburr, along with their companions Sir Duncan Ironhold and Lionel, envoys of the Sovereign Queen of Ara.

During its discovery, the sword was held in the hands of the paladin hero Odorian Lightbringer. Once in his grasp, a female voice spoke to his mind. After communicating with her for a short time, he learned that the voice he heard was that of the long lost daughter of the great Paladin King Ahman Bloodstone himself, Rachelle Bloodstone. Her soul had been trapped within the sword by a powerful wizard and enemy of her father at the time of her disappearance, where she remained, lost to history until that moment. Odorian and his friends sought for a way to release her from her prison and return her to her body that had long fallen to dust. Finally, after a week of study and research, she was freed and returned to a newly resurrected body. From that time forward, she refused to wield her former blade, but remained a close companion of Odorian and his friends. Over time the two fell in love and eventually married.

Once the woman's spirit was released from the sword, Glimmerwyn was placed into the hands of Odorian's sister, Kirri Lightbringer, with Rachelle's blessing. Kirri wielded it throughout the Off-Worlder War and beyond until her eventual death at the age of 90 years as a Knight Marshal of the Knights of Bloodstone. The sword was then handed down through the Lightbringer line for three generations until it once again disappeared. However, on occasion, the blade reappears to aid those in need against the evil influences of the world.
