Everdark Stalker (Drow, Slayer Archetype)

The drow are survivors and will do anything to conquer their enemies, especially their most hated of foes, the pale elves of the surface world, whom they believe drove them below and stole their birthright. As such, the drow seek every opportunity to exact vengeance upon their cousins. However, there are those that focus their dreams for vengeance and become the perfect weapon, allowing them to hunt their kin and destroy them. These are the stealthy and deadly everdark stalkers. Class FeaturesThe everdark slayer has the following class features. Low-Light Vision (Ex)

In addition to their ability to see perfectly in the dark up to 90 ft, an everdark stalker gains low-light vision, allowing her to see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.Pass for Elf (Ex)

At 1st level, when trying to conceal her dark elf heritage, an everdark stalker gains a bonus on Disguise checks equal to half her level. When using disguise to appear as a specific elven individual, everdark stalkers ignore the normal –2 penalty to appear as another race.

Poison Use (Ex)

At 2nd level, a slayer is trained in the use of poison, and cannot accidentally poison herself when applying poison to a weapon. This ability replaces the slayer talent gained at 2nd level.

Focused Sneak Attack (Ex)

At 3rd level, an everdark stalker focuses her ability to deal sneak attack damage against surface elves to such a degree that she can deal more sneak attack damage against them at the expense of sneak attacks against other creatures. When she makes a sneak attack against a creature of the elf subtype (including half-elves), she uses d8s to roll sneak attack damage instead of d6s. For sneak attacks against all other creatures, she uses d4s instead of d6s. This ability is identical in all other ways to sneak attack, and supplements that ability.

Powerful Sneak (Ex)

At 5th level, whenever an everdark stalker takes a full attack action against an elf, she can elect to take a –2 penalty on all attack rolls until the start of her next turn. If an attack during this time is a sneak attack, she treats all 1s on the sneak attack damage dice as 2s. This ability replaces 2nd studied target.

Quick and Deadly (Ex)

At 6th level, an everdark stalker can move at full speed while using Stealth at no penalty and can apply poison to a single weapon or piece of ammunition as a swift action. This ability replaces the slayer talent gained at 6th level.

Assassinate Elf (Ex)

At 7th level, an everdark stalker gains the slayer’s assassinate advanced talent, except that she can only use it against creatures of the elf subtype (including half elves). This ability replaces stalker.

Deadly Sneak (Ex)

At 10th level, whenever an everdark stalker uses powerful sneak against an elf, she treats all 1s and 2s on the sneak attack damage dice as 3s.

Everdark Poison (Su)

At 13th level, whenever an everdark stalker makes a successful sneak attack, she can use a poison effect (as the spell) upon a creature struck by her weapon once per day as a swift action. At 17th level, she can use the poison effect twice per day.

Alternatively, an everdark stalker can forego a single use of this ability to apply drow poison to a number of melee weapons or piece of ammunition equal to her Charisma modifier, as a swift action. This ability replaces slayer’s advance.

Greater Assassinate (Ex)

Starting at 14th level, anyone elf slain by an assassinate elf attack becomes more difficult to bring back from the dead. Spellcasters attempting to bring a creature back from the dead using raise dead or similar magic must make a caster level check with a DC equal to 15 + the everdark stalker's level or the spell fails and the material component is wasted. Casting remove curse the round before attempting to bring the creature back from the dead negates this chance. The DC of the remove curse is 10 + the everdark stalker's level. This ability replaces the slayer talent gained at 14th level.

Lethal Sneak (Ex)

At 15th level, whenever an everdark stalker uses powerful sneak against an elf, she treats all 1s, 2s, and 3s on the sneak attack damage dice as 4s.

Swift Assassinate (Ex)

At 18th level, once per day, an everdark stalker can make an elf slayer attack against an elven foe without studying the foe beforehand. She must still sneak attack her foe using a melee or ranged weapon that deals damage. This ability replaces the slayer talent gained at 18th level.
